Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or date of birth typed into a search box here passes straight to the outside provider that runs the search. That provider processes the input and returns the results. We do not keep or log the terms you enter on our side.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we keep the message so we can write back. It stays with our team, and we do not pass it to anyone outside the organization unless a legal obligation requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page loads, the servers record some technical details about the visit:
- The IP address your device used
- The browser and browser version you opened
- Your operating system and device type
- Pages viewed and the time spent on each one
- The referring site, when there is one
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files a site stores on your device. They show us which pages draw traffic and where readers tend to leave. Analytics services help us total that activity up. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some parts of the site may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site online and loading quickly
- Routing your search to the correct partner service
- Learning which pages help readers and which ones need work
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Serving ads that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant records. What we publish is general guidance on where Plymouth County records are held and how to check them with the Massachusetts courts, the sheriff's office, and the public case search. Court records access in Massachusetts follows Trial Court Rule XIV and the Uniform Rules on Public Access to Court Records, and criminal offender record information is controlled separately by G.L. c. 6, sections 167 to 178B. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing collected from visitors is assembled into a consumer report or a file about a third party.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes on this site. What you type into one of them is processed under that partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners decide their own retention and sharing rules, and we do not control those choices. Read the partner policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
Pages here link to Massachusetts court pages, sheriff's office pages, the state public-records guidance, legal aid organizations, and outside search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy then governs your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners also track activity across websites to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may reach:
- Search partners that process the queries you run here
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertising on our pages
- Law enforcement or a government body when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect what we collect. No internet-connected service is unbreakable, so we take reasonable steps to keep information safe and cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Massachusetts does not have one single consumer privacy statute covering every situation, so the rights available to you depend on the law that applies. Where a Massachusetts government office holds a record about you, the Massachusetts Public Records Law, G.L. c. 66, section 10 gives you a request right, with the exemptions listed at G.L. c. 4, section 7(26). Consumer transactions are also addressed by the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act, G.L. c. 93A. With us, you can at a minimum:
- Ask what we hold about you
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Ask us to delete your data
- Opt out of particular kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy later. When we do, the new version appears on this page with a fresh effective date. Check back if you want to follow how we handle visitor information.
